Who We Are

Empowering the visually challenged with dignity, opportunity, and support since the 1970s.

We are a community-based NGO focused on the rehabilitation, education, and empowerment of the visually challenged. Many of the people we serve face systemic barriers, poverty, and lack of access to basic resources. We aim to break that cycle by offering pathways to independence, education, and sustainable livelihoods, especially for children and families at risk of generational marginalization.

What began as a small effort to assist a few visually challenged individuals in Mumbai has grown into a committed grassroots movement. Over the decades, a few compassionate individuals laid the foundation for what is now a multi-district initiative working across Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

With a dedicated team of 31 staff and a strong volunteer network, we continue to reach more communities each year offering training, educational support, and practical aid to help individuals build better futures.
